Families & communityIncluded in the base fee of $39 a month

What it does

Send private messages between staff, students and parents, and publish announcements to everyone, staff, students or parents, with priority levels.

  • Private inbox with read status
  • Audience and priority for announcements
  • No personal numbers shared

How it works.

Three steps from setting it up to using it every day.

  1. 1

    Choose the audience

A class, a level, a campus, all parents or all staff.

  2. 2

    Send once

The message reaches the app, email or SMS, depending on what each person uses.

  3. 3

    See who read it

Read receipts show who has seen it, and reminders go to the rest.

What changes.

The same work, done once, in one place.

Without InstLane

  • Five WhatsApp groups per class
  • Important notices buried in chat
  • No idea who actually read a notice

With InstLane

  • One official channel for the institution
  • Notices kept and searchable
  • Read receipts and automatic reminders

For each person.

Everyone sees the part that matters to them, and nothing they should not.

Administrators

Announce to one campus or the whole network.

Teachers and staff

Message a parent from inside the system.

Students

One inbox for school messages.

Parents

Notices from school in one place, not lost in chats.

Pricing for Messages & announcements

Included in the base fee of $39 a month. Pilot institutions use every module free for one term.

Questions, answered.

Does InstLane work for both schools and universities?

Yes. The same system covers early years, primary and secondary (Matric, O and A Levels), intermediate colleges, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes, plus short courses. A network can run all of them in one workspace.

Which attendance devices can we connect?

ZKTeco terminals that support ADMS (push), Hikvision access controllers that send ISAPI events, and any RFID reader or middleware that can call a web address with a JSON message. We help pilot institutions connect their devices.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Attendance terminals keep punches in their own memory and send them when the connection returns. Teachers can also take the register in the browser as soon as they are back online.

Is our data kept separate from other institutions?

Yes. Every institution has its own database, and every request is checked against the institution it belongs to. You can export your data at any time.

Do parents need to install an app?

No. Parents and students sign in from any phone browser. There is nothing to install.

Stop running your institution on registers and group chats.

Join the pilot. When your place comes up, we set up your workspace with you.
