What it does

Lane answers questions about attendance, results, fees, timetables, homework and more from the live records, and from your handbook and policies. Most answers need no AI model at all; when one is used, it runs on your own server and only rephrases facts it is given.

  • Answers respect role, campus and class
  • Conversations are not stored
  • Works without paid AI services

How it works.

Three steps from setting it up to using it every day.

  1. 1

    Ask in plain words

“Who missed three days this month?” or “What does Ayesha owe?”

  2. 2

    Answered from your records

Lane runs the same permission-checked queries as the screens, so each person only gets what they may see.

  3. 3

    Act on the answer

Every answer links to the page where you can act on it.

What changes.

The same work, done once, in one place.

Without InstLane

  • Questions wait for someone to run a report
  • Staff learn where every screen is
  • Data stays locked in menus

With InstLane

  • Answers in a few seconds
  • Anyone can ask, within their role
  • The model never reads the database itself

For each person.

Everyone sees the part that matters to them, and nothing they should not.

Administrators

“Which campus had the lowest attendance this week?”

Teachers and staff

“Who is absent in my classes today?”

Students

“What homework is due this week?”

Parents

“How is Sara doing in maths?”

Questions, answered.

Does InstLane work for both schools and universities?

Yes. The same system covers early years, primary and secondary (Matric, O and A Levels), intermediate colleges, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes, plus short courses. A network can run all of them in one workspace.

Which attendance devices can we connect?

ZKTeco terminals that support ADMS (push), Hikvision access controllers that send ISAPI events, and any RFID reader or middleware that can call a web address with a JSON message. We help pilot institutions connect their devices.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Attendance terminals keep punches in their own memory and send them when the connection returns. Teachers can also take the register in the browser as soon as they are back online.

Is our data kept separate from other institutions?

Yes. Every institution has its own database, and every request is checked against the institution it belongs to. You can export your data at any time.

Do parents need to install an app?

No. Parents and students sign in from any phone browser. There is nothing to install.

Stop running your institution on registers and group chats.

Join the pilot. When your place comes up, we set up your workspace with you.
