RFID, biometric & face attendance
Gate and classroom terminals that feed attendance automatically.
What it does
Connect ZKTeco (ADMS push), Hikvision (ISAPI events) and other RFID, fingerprint or face terminals. Each device belongs to a campus and a location, a gate, a lab, a hostel or a bus, so every tap is recorded in the right place.
- Card numbers stored only as keyed hashes; templates stay on devices
- Duplicates, wrong-campus taps and off-hours punches flagged
- The teacher’s manual mark always wins
How it works.
Three steps from setting it up to using it every day.
- 1
Connect your terminals
Register each RFID, fingerprint or face device to your workspace with its own key.
- 2
Taps become attendance
Every tap at a gate, classroom, hostel or bus lands on the right person in the right register.
- 3
Review the exceptions
Unknown cards, duplicate taps and odd hours are flagged for the office to check.
What changes.
The same work, done once, in one place.
Without InstLane
- Device logs exported to Excel by hand
- Gate taps and class registers never match
- Lost cards keep working

With InstLane
- Taps arrive by themselves, every few seconds
- Gate, class and bus attendance in one place
- Cards can be blocked or replaced in a click
For each person.
Everyone sees the part that matters to them, and nothing they should not.
Watch the live feed, see offline devices and fix unknown cards from one screen.
Arrivals appear in your register before the first period.
Tap your card or look at the camera, that is it.
See the time your child arrived on campus.
Pricing for RFID, biometric & face attendance
$12 a month as part of Attendance & devices. Pilot institutions use every module free for one term.
Works well with.
Popular with k-12 schools.
Questions, answered.
Does InstLane work for both schools and universities?
Yes. The same system covers early years, primary and secondary (Matric, O and A Levels), intermediate colleges, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes, plus short courses. A network can run all of them in one workspace.
Which attendance devices can we connect?
ZKTeco terminals that support ADMS (push), Hikvision access controllers that send ISAPI events, and any RFID reader or middleware that can call a web address with a JSON message. We help pilot institutions connect their devices.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Attendance terminals keep punches in their own memory and send them when the connection returns. Teachers can also take the register in the browser as soon as they are back online.
Is our data kept separate from other institutions?
Yes. Every institution has its own database, and every request is checked against the institution it belongs to. You can export your data at any time.
Do parents need to install an app?
No. Parents and students sign in from any phone browser. There is nothing to install.
