Attendance registers

Class registers in seconds, with chronic absence alerts.

Teaching & learning$12 a month as part of Attendance & devices

What it does

Teachers mark a whole class with one tap and adjust exceptions. Daily, weekly and level-wise trends show who is slipping before it becomes a problem.

  • Present, late, absent and excused
  • Staff attendance with check-in and check-out
  • Chronic-absence list under 85%

How it works.

Three steps from setting it up to using it every day.

  1. 1

    Take the register

Teachers mark a class on a phone or laptop in seconds, or let devices fill it in.

  2. 2

    Families hear straight away

Absent and late learners trigger a message to their guardians, in the app or by SMS.

  3. 3

    Spot patterns early

Chronic absence and repeated lateness are flagged before they become a problem.

What changes.

The same work, done once, in one place.

Without InstLane

  • Paper registers typed up at the end of the week
  • Parents find out about absences days later
  • Patterns only noticed at the end of term

With InstLane

  • Registers saved the moment they are taken
  • Guardians notified the same morning
  • Early warnings while there is still time to help

For each person.

Everyone sees the part that matters to them, and nothing they should not.

Administrators

Spot classes whose registers were not taken today.

Teachers and staff

Mark everyone present, then fix the few who are late.

Students

See your own attendance record.

Parents

Know the same morning if your child is marked absent.

Questions, answered.

Does InstLane work for both schools and universities?

Yes. The same system covers early years, primary and secondary (Matric, O and A Levels), intermediate colleges, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes, plus short courses. A network can run all of them in one workspace.

Which attendance devices can we connect?

ZKTeco terminals that support ADMS (push), Hikvision access controllers that send ISAPI events, and any RFID reader or middleware that can call a web address with a JSON message. We help pilot institutions connect their devices.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Attendance terminals keep punches in their own memory and send them when the connection returns. Teachers can also take the register in the browser as soon as they are back online.

Is our data kept separate from other institutions?

Yes. Every institution has its own database, and every request is checked against the institution it belongs to. You can export your data at any time.

Do parents need to install an app?

No. Parents and students sign in from any phone browser. There is nothing to install.

Stop running your institution on registers and group chats.
